Even a small amount of water in your home or business can cause untold damage and it’s not just doorways that provide an easy route for water to enter a property. Air brick covers are designed to protect vulnerable breathing points, such as air bricks on the exterior of a property.
Airbrick Covers
The Airbrick Cover consists of a plate of plastic with a foam seal to
produce a watertight fit to the airbrick and it has passed independent
tests for leakage to achieve BSI Kitemark Certification. The cover
requires two fixings into the brickwork, fitting can be undertaken by a
local builder or competent DIY person. When needed the covers are
simply attached to the wall by tightening the integrated T-handle screws
supplied. The protection covers and fixings are very small and neat,
unlike many others on the market, and they are independent of the
airbrick itself, so there is no chance of the airbrick breaking by
overtightening or of it becoming blocked.
The innovative design acts as a standard airbrick allowing unrestricted
airflow underneath the property, yet under flood conditions uses the
rising water to automatically shut off. Inhibiting access through the
airbricks and therefore flooding underneath the property. Unlike sand
bags and covers no flood warning or pre flood intervention is required.
• Permanently fitted
• Prevents water passing through the airbrick
• Floatation valve to block passage of water before entry
• Straight replacement for a standard airbrick
• Minimum Maintenance required - modular design so can be disassembled to clean post flood if necessary
• Compliant with BS 493:1995 - airbricks and gratings for co-ordinating size, impact testing and free airspace.
• Can be used over and over again no replacement parts required
